Psychomagic 9
An experiment in playable theater
The sold-out immersive show inspired by the 1973 cult classic The Holy Mountain will return next year
“Psychomagic 9 was fucking glorious. Such a treat of niche insanity that I just couldn’t even believe it existed.”
A sly, intoxicating work of theater and choose-your-own-adventure storytelling
On a legendary production poised on the brink of glory, a film crew’s patience wears dangerously thin. Presiding over them is the Alchemist, a poetic wonderworker and disaster provocateur whose delusions of grandeur have brought production to a standstill.
As the Alchemist draws the set deeper into a world of magic and madness, guests find themselves entangled in increasingly intricate quests to get the production back on track. Their goal: to guide the nine lost souls of the cast & crew towards a personal miracle before the end of the night…
Psychomagic 9 is an Equity approved Showcase.
“The skill of the spectator determines the machine’s ability to reach a climax.”
You’ll play a direct part in the unfolding of the story, interacting with a cast of brilliant improvisers in a game that evokes the cabin-fever excitement of a film set, with all its drama and disaster.
How quickly you act, and the choices you make, will impact the outcome of the story. Every show is unique. So tread wisely, and choose your path with style. Psychomagic 9 is designed for the bold.
90 participants. 4 possible endings. 9 main characters caught in the thrall of a mysterious traveling alchemist.

“Truly operating at the cutting edge of immersive theatre… This is the realest, most underground interactive performance art show on the scene right now.”
Words from the audience
“Transcendent and captivating in all the best ways.”
“Psychomagic 9 is what art should be in my opinion… I’m going to remember this for a really long time.”
“I was floored. The writing, the beauty, the performances. I laughed, I cried, came out braver.”
“I love immersive theater experiences and have a personal practice rooted in chaos magick. Experiencing Psychomagic 9 felt like seeing those two passions combine in the best way. I feel like the show was something truly special with the degree of audience participation encouraged and the energy raised, especially during the finale.”
“One is struck by a dizzying sense of permission… Psychomagic 9 leaves the viewer wondering, how might I intervene? The audience leaves its mark in a number of surprising ways.”
“Chaotic in the most fun, incredible way. I thought I was going to see theater, but instead I wound up in the middle of the action, racing around helping the characters with their drama. I somehow got married to my girlfriend by the garden hermit. 10/10.”
