the skill of the spectator determines the machine’s ability to reach a climax.”

On a legendary production poised on the brink of glory, a film crew’s patience wears dangerously thin. Presiding over them is the Alchemist, a poetic wonderworker and disaster provocateur whose delusions of grandeur have brought production to a standstill.

As the Alchemist draws the set deeper into a world of magic and madness, guests find themselves entangled in increasingly intricate quests to get the production back on track. Their goal: to guide the nine lost souls of the cast & crew towards a personal miracle before the end of the night...

Psychomagic 9 is an Equity approved Showcase.

 FAQs

  • It’s part theater, part game, part frenzied party. You’ll spend most of your time completing quests. The night will be punctuated by performances from the actors.

  • Directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky, The Holy Mountain (1973) is a spiritual allegory beloved by art film buffs, New Age psychonauts, and the countercultural underground. You don’t need to be familiar with the film to enjoy the show.

If you identify with any of the above, or you like underground parties and daring events, we’ll guarantee you a journey you won’t soon forget.

  • If you have a legal prescription for ketamine from the past 6 months, you are invited to bring it with you to the show. There will be a specific point in the evening for you to partake. Please bring proof of your prescription—we will check it at the door.

  • When you enter the set, you become part of the crew. Dress comfortably, wearing all black.

  • No. Photography is prohibited during the event.

  • We would prefer that you come into the event intending to stay for the whole time. However, the door is always open. You’re free to leave if you decide halfway through that it’s not your thing. We just ask that you don’t come into it already knowing you’ll need to leave early.

In other words, please treat our show like any other theater performance! (At least in this regard.)
